Choose white, beige, and delicate curtain colours that will adapt the warmth and permeability of the Sun, as opposed to dark tones that will, just like dark clothing, attract and retain heat. Close the blinds along almost the entire length of the window and feel the light freshness of the curtains drying in the breeze. When the curtains are completely dry, you can wet down only the edges of the curtains with cold water for a repeat of the process, and achieve an additional cooling effect with a fan.

Metal bowl + fan
If you need instant refreshment, reach for the fan you’ve already forgotten about. Although not as powerful as some other cooling units, it will come in handy in combination with a large metal bowl filled with ice. Position the bowl near the fan so that cold air passes over the bowl and leaves an icy refreshing water effect.
